On June 23rd six entrepreneurs went head to head in the PBJ’s grand finale pitch competition on the grand stage of the Granby Theater in Norfolk.
It was a premiere inaugural event with entertainment by Frank sings Frank, a dance performance by Shaping Space Choreography, fabulous food by Levels on Granby, a dozen local business vendors, and six individual micro-pitch winners ready to shake off their nerves and pitch their hearts in front of a judging panel of esteemed industry experts and an awesome audience.
The winners of the individual spring micro-pitch series were:
Mike Kindle with Bonaire Clothiers
Chris Rumper with Pocket Properties
Blade Taylor with CADSCADE
Trina Davenport with Very Visionary
Davonte Brown with PRIM Location
Auran Shereef with Norfolk TV
We are grateful to our judges:
The competition was stiff but the Competition Winner was Blade Taylor with CADSCADE and the Audience Choice Winner was Chris Rumper with Pocket Properties. The winners had a prize package including free co-working space at bloom or Percolator, food from our sponsor Granby Pizza, discounted rentals for Granby Theater and a clothing or accessory item from Bonaire Clothiers.
It was a fantastic night for small businesses and we’re excited for another season of micro-pitches and collaboration between coworking spaces.
