About the Program
The Startup Stability Program (SSP) is a GO Virginia funded nonprofit program designed to help entrepreneurs in Hampton Roads start or grow their business. Participants will complete a 12-week accelerator program, receive free and subsidized rent at Bloom in Portsmouth or Percolator in Norfolk, and expert guidance from industry leaders to establish and grow a profitable, investor-ready business.
Subsidized Office Space
FREE rent for the first 3 months plus progressive rental assistance for 9 additional months as you grow. Better yet, choose between two great coworking spaces: Bloom (Portsmouth) and Percolator (Norfolk). Learn more about Percolator at percolatorspace.com.
12-week Business Accelerator
The B-Force Accelerator is a full-service entrepreneurship program tailored to your skills, industry, and the stage of your business. You will learn valuable skills with hands-on guidance to develop a professional business plan, pro-forma financial statements, and an investor presentation.
Workshops and coaching from industry experts and successful entrepreneurs.
Grow Your Professional Network
Build lasting connections with local business leaders who can open the door to more opportunities.
Join a Collaborative Community
Work and grow alongside a group of like-minded business owners that want to hear about or use each other’s products and/or services.
Applicants must fit the following criteria:
- Annual personal income under $75,000 (tax returns not required)
- Startups at any stage are eligible
- Business must be in one of the following target industries:
Evaluation & Selection
Applications will be evaluated by an independent selection committee made up of successful entrepreneurs and industry experts from Black BRAND, Portsmouth Partnership, Percolator, and Bloom.
